Lyman #310 Reloading Tool

Acquired a Lyman Tool & Die Reloading set for .303 British
and entered the ranks of ''Modern'' reloading.



I have a box of 32-40 which I started on Decapping




Collar inside shaping


Sizing die .303 different than 32-40


Capping - re-primming


Bullet Press


I left out the powder process just to show the case process.

Old saying ''if I can do it Anyone can'' may not fit , just if you
have one box of Obsolete Brass , this works

Now I'm looking for 25-25 & 25-21 dies .

I have a few die sets, over 20. Tong tool plus 3 junior presses. Comes in handy when you are reloading obsolete calibers or just want to neck size.

I used to play with them quite a bit, back in the day.
I sold my pile around the time of covid, but I picked up another steel set in .30 Gov't '06.
It's only problem is the lack of sizes available for the expander plug.
I had my late machinist chum turn down a larger expander plug so it would work with the slightly larger cast bullets that I find work better.

At one time, I was getting 5 shot groups under a half inch at 100 yards, in BSA .222, with jacketed bullets, loaded in a 310 tool.
So the tool can produce accurate loads, but the earlier steel handles have more beef to them.

310 dies are mostly neck sizers. They made one in 25-20 which could possibly work. The problem is finding the dies you want. About 15 years ago I started collecting them after having a press and 6 die sets given to me. My tong tool came from a friend’s estate along with more dies. At gun shows no one wants them so I pick many sets up for $15-$20. Last time I looked eBay had a few sets.
