Hanging birds

I think this idea of hanging any gamebirds with the guts still intact is dangerous and quite frankly disgusting..............

Are people trying to get ill?............

This idea is absolutely barbaric! I understand a game animal is different than a bird, however leaving the guts in anything for an extended period of time causes bacterial growth and will spread to the meat, making it gamey and dangerous to eat!......:(

I agree, and I will add that:

Hanging slaughtered birds vs shot birds is a different story.

A friend raised birds and sold them, and an East Indian person would hang them pretty much until they dropped.

Not for me. Slaughter, clean, eat.

I can’t imagine the stench after a week, it’s bad enough fresh…

To each their own.

Right!.......:ROFLMAO:

Yup… it was pretty standard practice back in the day to hang poultry by the neck with a wire until the heads came off, regardless of the outside temp.
Not something that would happen today.
