The Remington will be softer shooting because it's gas-operated although the newer Comfortech stock on the Benelli makes the difference less.If I was to fork out the big difference in bucks for the Benelli M2, would I notice a big difference in performance than the 11-87, and in what way?
If there is anyone who has used both I would appreciate some info on this.

You don't need spare parts with either B gun. Remington is a 1960 antique! O rings and all! Both B guns are worth the little extra as they are very reliable and of a 21th century design. The Comfortech will not reduce recoil below that of an 11-87 because an inertia system will produce more felt recoil than a gas system. The Comfortech stock reduces the recoil so the difference between the two will not be as noticeable. So are you saying that the Comfortech stock on the benelli will result in less recoil than the 11-87? or about the same?
Cause I know that the 11-87 even has the R3 pad on and its really good on recoil.
