Best Norinco Handgun 9mm

Recommend NZ-85B :)

Also want to know what's coming in the next boatload from China :)

By the website it looks like they have some Norc full size 1911's in .45ACP again.

Hey anybody have one of the Norc Model 201C's which is the "improved Tokarev" in 9mm? Looks like a pretty good deal for $200..........

I've handled and fired Norinco Tokarevs, 1911s (regular and Commander-size), Hi-Powers and 226s.

By far the best, out of the box, where the 226 copies. Followed closely by the Tokarevs. The 1911s I've shot had extremely gritty and hard to apply safetys, and the Hi-Power/FEG copy had an atrocious trigger and safety.

Note: I'm referring to un-tuned guns.

Can anyone comment one the finish of the NP34 (SIG 228) vs the NP22 (SIG 226)? From Marstar's pics the NP22 seems to be much nicer.

I just got an NP34 recently, and I was worried about the finish too.

In marstar's pic and the one from the seller here, the finish looked pretty rough, but it's actually pretty good when you have it in hand.

Hope that helps,

I've got the 201C, very happy with it. Smooth, easy to use - only complaint - 8 round mag, would LOVE to have a 10 round with it. Otherwise, no issues.

Okay, answered my own question.... handled one at the local shop today. Comes with one mag but spares are easy enough to get. Fit & finish is very nice on these latest versions. Good deal for the money I think....

Thanks guys, I think I am leaning toward the NP22 as I like the original Sigs.
However I have not completely ruled out the NP29.
All this info is great I'm sure it is helping others make the decision as well.:dancingbanana:
Keep it comin!

I've got the NP28, I like it now that I've cleaned up the action and took off the rubber tires they had for grips on it.

It'll be my backup gun for service pistol this year.

What is the "best" pistol by Norinco?? Probbaly the "best" one will be the one you end up buying! :D

is there a difference between the np28 and the np29??? they are both 1911A1 that are chambered for 9mm no???

so i can still easily find parts for the np28 as i can for the np29 or cant I???

also i've read that the np22 has a tendency to crack after 2000 rounds. can anybody confirm this or was that just a rare case???

any np22 owners out there want to give their opinion? i want a gun that i can use to go to the range with and have fun and also use as a self defense gun...money is very limited... i want to get a real sig p226 but that is way out of my price range.
