For PCC not on the list of prohibited firearms such as S & W Response, CMMG Dissent/Resolute, where do they fall?

Can we import them? They also don't seem to have FRT, so does it mean the first one is going to be goner and sent to RCMP lab for evaluation?

I have been away from shooting since 2022 and just came back to it this summer. The handguns I wanted the PPCs that I wanted, they are no longer accessible now.

The CMMG would almost certainly be classified as an AR variant unfortunately... The S&W on the other hand might not be

They've already hinted at banning either all semi automatics or even all models that use a detachable magazine. These commies won't stop there. They want us like Europe, knives banned, third world flooded, our kids raped and a generation or two from extinct.

Care to point to any specific press release, statement from a minister, or any other source that would show they are hinting this?

Last I heard they were done with OiC bans and were instead looking at rewriting the classification system. But that info is like 1.5 years old and I haven't heard much on the gun file lately?

If it doesnt have an FRT currently (the S&W response), it cant be imported until it is submitted to the Firearms lab and given either NR, R, or Prohib. Only way around that is if it was produced and sold by a canadian company, they could then subvert the FRT for a while (like the Backland Hunter/Tactical by Crusader arms). Only semi 9mm PCC still avaiable in Canada is the Henry Homesteader....for now.

The libtards have PCC's by the short and curlies. Hence why we are seeing manual action 9mm starting to show up like the Schmeisser and the Derya pump pcc's. Lets hope that "he who shall not be named" manages to get the Sterling RC9 to make the grade.

Edit: You could also use a pistol in a chassis... not as cool tho.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/liberal-gun-control-trudeau-2019-1.5290950

The Liberal Party of Canada proposed amendments to firearms legislation (such as Bill C-21) that target semi-automatic rifles and shotguns designed to accept detachable cartridge magazines with a capacity greater than five rounds, rather than a blanket ban on all box-magazine-fed firearms.

They'll come for your bolt action one day.

I went this direction.

It works well (short / compact and more reliable that my actual PCCs) but its not as cool.

The major flaw is that it flexes when squeezed hard which changes the zero.

So just to be clear, you haven't heard anything recently about the gun file? Other than the gun buyback my impression was they've been pretty quiet about guns under Carney, but I thought maybe I missed something.

I don't disagree that there are ideologs in the party that want all guns banned - one of the Poly broads is an MP after all, and she's not alone. But do they have the kind of sway on Carney that they did on Trudeau? I hope not.

How about anytime after a shooting when they say "we need to do more, this has to stop"
Every single time, even after they just recently "did more".
Would that count? Or when they banned 0 assault rifles in a country where 0 assault rifles are legal, using an assault rifle ban, and then telling people such as you, that you're safer and that they took assault rifles off the streets.
Do you think they're done? They weren't done May01/2020. They updated it. And then that wasn't enough. They updated it again. and again. And again.
But they're done this time lol

I didn't say they're done. I was simply asking if anything NEW had been said in recent months that maybe I missed. Seems I've gotten my answer...

And requires ownership of a compatible pistol in the first place, which is a problem for a lot of people especially if they've been away from the sport for a while.
If you are looking for a plinker, or even looking to compete in an action shooting sport then I would hard look at the new 22lr options in canada. Minirifle is growing pretty fast in IPSC and is pretty fun. Like I mentioned above tho, there are some manual action options out now and more to come... and the RC9 from Sterling (if it passes the horse cop sniff test, and you are willing to buy anything from a company associated with "He who must not be named")

A 22lr just doesn't scratch the itch that a 9mm semi auto does. Same with a manual action. Don't get me wrong, I'm strongly considering the derya pump as a replacement for my banned gun, but it'll always be a cope gun.

Also this is the correct answer to OPs question. Anything imported will need an FRT before it can be imported, anything domestically produced can be sold without an FRT. But as we've seen with a few guns now not having an FRT is a dangerous predicament, because that gun WILL get an FRT at some point, and we all know how that can play out.
