Sprue cutter

Getting annoyed at the sprue cutters on my moulds not staying set. The hinge screw works loose continuously. I have considered using lock tite but don’t know how well it would sit as the mould heats up. There is not a lot of resistance causing the screw to turn so maybe lock tite would work. Any other ideas to keep the sprue cutter screw from turning when the sprue cutter is swung.

Drill a hole in from the side so it meets the sprue screw. Thread the hole. A machine screw tightened against the sprue screw does wonders.

I had that happen to a mold, and took head of the drill tap then a grub screw

insert a shotgun pellet into the lockscrew hole to prevent the lockscrew from damaging the threads on the sprue plate screw
