Seriously, the Norc slaves did a great job (slaves... I mean high school shop workers) assembling the 1911 series of pistols. That's one thing they got right (the 1911 and the M14's).

My only criticism would be the sharp edges (needs dehorning) and the cheesy blue'd finish on my 4 1911's that I've owned (whoops..... 5 of them). The last 2 of them , I dehorned and then parkerized ! Great fun projects !!

I have a Norinco 1911 and my trouser snake is still intact. So I do not think it will fall off. However a USGI 1911 is never a bad idea.

Or as per your post on the photo board in the 1911 thread, have nice real USGI's for 'show' and a lesser finish one that you can 'shoot'....

'Course a Norc 1911A-1 will always do as a 'shooter', too.
