I'm just wondering a few things...

Is there anything else besides a MG34 and a 1919? How is thier availibility?

Could you use 7.62x39 in these with a proper conversion kit? (are they made?) Will the 7.62x39 fit in the 30 06 belts?

There are semi auto versions of the 1919A4 and MG34 which have been approved for sale here. There are others available in the US which may or may not be approved in Canada. There is also the issue of whether US export permits could be obtained.
I have never heard of 7.62X39 conversions for either of these.
Because 7.62X39 is much smaller in diameter than .30-06, I doubt if a .30-06 belt would work.

Cut and paste the above link to find the kit available in the US. There will be two problems with it. First, the US likely won't approve an export permit for it, and second, because it uses new links, you would be limited to 5 round belts. I guess thats one way to save on ammo.
