10/22 build

just checked SBI website and it directed me to mag dump but the receiver with the rear CH isn’t listed.
Is there anywhere else to buy this
Magdump.ca is their store website. The black ST-22 receiver is out of stock at the moment but they have it in Tanodize colour if you're interested in that.

If you want black give them a call and see when they're going to do another run. They sell out quickly when in stock but they are replenished often.

It looks like if you are in Canada Magdump is the only option.

The receiver with the rear charging handle is listed, the black is currently out of stock but the Tanodize is available:

Good day all.
I’m am starting to make a wish list for 10/22 parts to build platform over the winter.
I understand that products from “kid” are a great choice.
Not sure about the ruger stuff, I have never owned one.
I have several 22lr semis (savage) but the trigger feels like junk, they shoot decent but the trigger is going to drive me bananas. I know what a good semi should feel like. I several semi centerfire platforms with outstanding triggers.
That’s what brings me to the ruger build.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
A Volquartsen trigger kit for the standard 10/22 trigger group would be one to consider, they are cost effective and produce a very nice overall trigger function, I own triggers with three of these kits and would highly recommend.

What barrel?

Sad to see DLASK is basically done for, they had very attractive pricing and legendary reviews...

As always, by the time I show up to the party it is over.
Grey Birch RDR. Threaded barrel i to receiver. No V block. Very slick.
Bought just Minutes b4 they pulled up stakes and fled to FLA.
SBI bolt (formerly kidd, formerly formerly GB).
Dlask products can still be found at Advent Arms and last i heard they were sourcing barrels of the Dlask vintage.
Check them out

Thank you again everyone. Im compiling my list.
My question is hand guard. Are there any available that are long enough for a proper C grip. 16 inches and up would work great. I have too much muscle memory from my centefires. I would hope to transfer drills and posture
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

If you go with an SBI chassis they also make a top enclosure piece you can add.

I like my spectre chassis too but if u want a C grip, i think the Midwest Industries wud be the ticket.

But there is a guy on GP and here too so ewhere who hase a pretty cool 3D printed chassis with enclosed forend.

Affordable too although they just went up 25%. Yeesh.

The printed Chassis would be ok for plinking, grip attachment may not hold up. Mine needed to be glued , Grip is not removable now.

MWI 13" Handguard (I have another I'd sell)

Barrel is a 12.5" SBI with a Dlask Compensator 14" overall
Would work well with a 16" BarrelView attachment 1226583

These are very nice! Do they fit on all receivers though?

From what I've heard they need modification to fit on most aftermarket receivers because anything with an extended pic rail on the front interferes with the handguard.

Is this correct?

For full size 16" barrel type rigs Midwest Industries or the Hera mentioned earlier in this thread might be your best bets.

I know for sure the SBI receiver (and probably most aftermarket receivers with the picatinney overhang at the front) will not fir the Midwest chassis but cannot speak about the Hera.
