Thought I'd show off my small, but hopefully growing Ross collection. Top is a commercial MKII**. #2-MKII*** One of the U.S. contract rifles. #3- MKIII 1916 Issued to 50th Gordon Highlanders of Canada. Bottom-MKIII 1916 Note the year is upside down.Picked this up at Chilliwack show last month. Hope you enjoy the picks. None are for sale, but my first born might be as my Ross-fund is a little low!
Cheers

Geoff- All fine pieces indeed! Now: it's not like trying to fill an inside straight, but do your best to click correct bayos and scabbards on the business end of each. The US MkII*** needs a Kerr "Nobukl" canvas sling, not a leather one. Then oilers in the butt-traps- the US one should show the "C/I\" ground out....

Gordon Highlanders

Nice collection!

Where were the 'Gordon Highlanders' based or formed out of?

Raised right here in Victoria. First assembled at Pathius building corner Douglas and Pandora, around 1913. Arthur Currie was first CO. and Garnet Hughes (Son of Sam), was another senior officer. The 50th GHC and the 88th , along with other regiments, made up the famous 16th Battalion.

Ross

Yes, patched the butt. I can always tell people they were from Bisley medals or presentation plaques from Sir Charles. Only Garands Dean? Bet you have a bunch of nice ones though.
Geoff.
