Curious if anyone has ever handloaded for a Browning BAR in 308. Able to share any recipes? I think IMR4895, 4064, RL15, BLC2, should be good powders. I know you shouldn't load to near max as the actions won't tolerate that for too long. Thanks!

I have loaded semi-auto's before. I am quite aware of that. I'd load down and work up. Certain powders work better in auto-loaders as well. And yes, I'm also aware of brass fit and theoretical need for small base dies. Cheers.Asking for recipe’s for loads for a auto loading firearm is asking for trouble
read your loading manual and follow . It’s a sensitive process start by making sure your cases are sized correctly that is the problem area
As for data use the minimal load to start
Powder really does not matter the manual matches powder burn rates to bullett weights
If you do it incorrectly and lock up the action you have a big problem on your hands
Powders specific to auto loaders applies to the M1 and M14 type gas systems, the BAR and the 74/740/742/7400 Remington’s aren’t that type of gas system.I have loaded semi-auto's before.
