Hi guys. I spend most of my time in the old milsurp stuff and have nearly nothing to do with black rifles. For this reason, I am asking what a very good condition Colt AR 15 HBar is worth. I may need to sell it soon to finance another purchase, and I would like to know what a reasonable price range is for it. I have the rifle, 2 pinned mags, and the orignal Colt manual. The barrel is marked "C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 HBAR". I understand this means 1 turn in 7" rifling twist, but no clue on the rest. Here are a couple of photos to help:

I bought this rifle used quite a few years ago, and I don't believe anything has been altered, changed or buggered with on it. Both magazines are worn pretty good (but work well) and there are a few fine scratches here and there on the rifle. I fire a few rounds out of it every year, and it works very well. If there is any other information you need, let me know. Sorry for the big photos. I am using some new software that is causing me a little grief. Thanks for your help.

I got a screaming deal on a very similar rifle last year, same HBAR but with the flat top and carry handle for $550 with a bunch of ammo. When I asked at a couple of gun store it sounds like mine would have been worth more than double what I paid nevermind the ammo.

slab side with no bayonet lug, figure value around $1000 - $1250 is fair market right now. If you want to sell fast put it up for $1k, if you have time to kill then the higher price.

Thanks guys. Now to see if I can get the deal moving. If things go well, the HBar may appear on the EE in the next month or so, along with a few handguns.

What Westie said. I think they are undervalued for what you get. The Target Match Hbars are extremely accurate and well built.

Friend picked one up for $700.00, used but in good shape. Talked seller down from $900.00. It seems lots of guys are turned off by the missing details.

It only looks like it if you are severly retarded... it is called a sear block. what a retard.

Holy christ what is your problem???
It was an HONEST INQUIRY, I'm not a retard, it looked like it had an auto sear pin alright, thats all. I'm not a friggen colt expert alright? I ask questions and hopefully I get an answer because I'm curious and interested, but when people like you chew new guys out like me you make others not want to join this wicked community.

I chewed you out because you accused a person of having a full auto... if you had left out "looks like it" from your question posted above then it would have been an honest question and not an accusation.

think before you open your mouth, how would you like a SWAT team banging down your door and the cops seizing all YOUR guns till you could prove otherwise ?? remember we are being watched here and false accusations are getting people in trouble.

smarten up and take this as it is meant to be taken, you also could have asked via PM.

thats your opinion.

No its a FACT

Its not an ACCUSATION just because YOU percieved it that way...

There are full auto conversions that are prohib still, how did I know that it wasn't that? I wasn't accusing anyone of anything, it was mere interest in hopes that the poster or someone else would interpret my reply as a question and give me a nice answer.
