I scored today :)

Hey, just asking here but, um, buying ammo from a guy down the street,,,,, then posting pics,,,,, doesn't that say arrest me all over it ??
Oh, never mind this guy probably owned a shooting store and was a licenced retailer right!?
We had one of the cfo's in ontario get slapped for doing something similar, He got his buddy's to chip in and they bought a skid of skeet ammo, went home and split it up between em, someone called it in and he got slapped for it, apparantly ammo was sold under only one pal, his, he wasn't licenced to re sell it.

yupper i agree;)
see norse;) now you cant sell it..
you have to give it away:D

What I'd heard

when ever your at the store buying ammo, they'd ask for a PAL, didn't matter whether you're buying 20 rounds or 2000. I was always informed you couldn't buy/sell ammo with out a proper retail licence. Guess i'm gonna have to research this one some more.

So do you keep every single ammo recipt and safe guard it in your gun safe?

You can buy and sell ammo at any gun show.... Think about it

You need a PAL or POL to buy ammo.

You don't need a license to sell ammo, unless it's ammo you manufactured yourself, i.e. handloads.

Its usually the first thing I ask at every yard sale/Garage sale etc, Do they have any hunting or camping stuff, If so I then ask about guns and ammo etc,. then show my PAL,

Really awesome peice of advice right there.

Ill make a note to always do that too. Garage sale season IS coming.

You can sell all the factory ammo you have, but you will have to have a valid PAL from the buyer. Look in the EE section, there is a section for buying and selling factory ammo on here. Not allowed to sell reloads, without a license.

Home reloads are not allowed in the EE, even if they're being given away. Re-selling commercial reloads in the EE is fine.

Stevo,,,, I was making a transfer and checking on my ATT for another when I asked Mirimishi the question about buying ammo, as in hey, what if I'm at a garage sale or gun show and someone's selling ammo, I know at the stores I need a pal to purchase what about private deals???
Girl on the end says, Hold on, I'll ask for the details on that, min. later she comes back and says, " I asked the boss, he says a PAL is needed for all sales and the seller must have a retail licence or else"
Then asked , well is this a provincial rule or does it cover everyone, she says I'm not sure but while your talking to Orillia , ask them.
I did...... Orillia got the same questions and the answer was, NO, YOU SHOULDN'T BE BUYING AMMO PRIVATELY, a pal is always needed , what ever you do don't get caught buying it privately.

So, scoff all you want, thats from the horses mouth. DONT GET CAUGHT.
