Can anyone tell me what this is?

This one says: "D. C. Co. 43 M."

It's one of the unique ones in the tackle box of random ammo. I think I could enjoy shooting shells like this one.

Definitely .43 Mauser as stated. Old fellow at my range still loads and shoots these out of an antique Mauser, and there's still new production brass being made for it though I don't know by whom.
