Was up to my cottage, forgot the damned camera.
Ice on trees everywhere, trees down, power out, big trees down, big mess.
Ice is North of Tory Hill Ontario, and just barely north of Wilberforce.
If you have a camp, or cottage in that area, take your chain saw.

Geez I hope we didn't get hit. I haven't been up yet. I'm betting my awning will be off. From all the snow this year.

Dave.

Uh, you mean south central Ontario :p

We in north central Ontario got nailed by another blizzard on Friday - I have just under 4 feet of snow still sitting in my front yard.

Even the concrete goose had enough, saw him trying to hitch a ride south on Hi 17 this weekend...

Wawa is generally regarded as Western Ontario, at least to my reconning.
Me, at the urging Of my wife, we walked in to the cottage the last mile, me carrying the chainsaw and the gas. There was no damage, and little cutting to be done along our stretch of road. Power is still out up there this morning, but the hydro helicopter was tracing the lines when we left.
The main road was another story, large trees dangling from the hydro wires, wires down on the road in several places, crews from local cottages cutting what was safe to cut. It's quite a mess.

The freezing rain hit here hard.It busted up my big Elm tree in my back yard, and now I'm gonna have to cut her down:(.
There are trees broken an busted all over the area.

Some photos of the ice storm. The ice was over an inch+ thick on the trees.
