Ontario - 2008 Hunting Regulations Summary

MNR just updated their website this week. Thats probably what killed to link.
Ya I noticed that when I went to the new site. I downloaded the regulation when the old site was up. If its not working tomorrow I was going to e-mail the website person I know at MNR.
when is it comming out in print?
I just cant bring my PC to the washroom to plan my season properly

If you are talking about anterless tags, then you apply for a tag and can use it during all open seasons (generally) in the WMU you applied if you are successful. Then if you want you can buy additional tags for your WMU, these are archery only in some areas and anterless only in some areas.

Go to your local MNR office and get the tags/thrown in the draw.
Moose Quota Changes for 2008
A member on a local fishing/hunting website (http://fishingboard.thunderbayfishing.com/index.php?showtopic=2811) went to the trouble of comparing last years tag quotas to this years.
Here are the numbers they came up with. FYI I haven't checked the math.
The local unit, 13, dropped 250 tags according to todays paper.
Just a quick run down of the changes to each WMU

Gee, we're up 8 whole tags. Lets see, that's eight more amongst approximately 1000 hunters in my area, that makes me feel a whole bunch better about getting a tag. Something that has eluded me personally for about 17 years now. Good thing I hunt in a group, and the other guys get tags now and then.
