My Cooey M71 .308 Before and After

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it? You should really enjoy the rifle, mine was my dad's for years and I just sorta snagged when the registry came in.

I paid $225 for it, I figure if I can get $25 fo rthe Williams peep, I will have only paid $200.
Scope was another $250 ish, it is new. I may still sell it. I like it and have fired about 20-30 rounds of Remington and Federal out of her today, if I can't get my groups down to 3/4" I will probably sell it. So far I am getting 1"-2" groups.

Well, I think the rifle looks better than it did, and the recoil pad is a great idea to reduce recoil induced fatigue on long shooting days.

1 inch groups at 100m is really good shooting for such a rifle, IMHO.

I was and still am hoping for better. I will try some reloads. My groups were probably averaging 1.5" but I can get that with a Win 94!

Now that I have done one baedding job, I will probably do all of my rifles!
