Well just received both pistols today. Looking forward to shooting both these pistols.

I must say I'm impressed with the HK45. It fits my hand real well. The grip is shaped to accomodate the lower palm swell and points real well. A big improvement over the USP. So far dry firing the pistols, I get the feeling this gun will shoot real well.

Then there's my RangerII 45acp. My first 1911. Can't wait to bring it to the range! Fits real well in my hand. Fit and finish is really good. Slide to frame fit is solid, no play at all.

Over all , it is a good day!

Always trying to make us jealous with that G36K. *shakes head*
Well it's WORKING!

Range report on the HK45 is expected and will be much appreciated when you take it out!

Mainly ergonomics. Not having to try to wrap your hand around a 2x4 should be really helpfull for your accuracy. Gonna have to see how it performs at the range. Also, I dunno how to say this, but it feels just right when you point it at something. Pics and vid soon to follow!

The pointability comes from the gun being designed with the same grip angle as a 1911, Larry Vickers and his buddy Ken Hackathorn had alot of say in the build of the new HK45. Enjoy your new HK45, it is suppose to be a great firearm.

Sweet pistols.

Good pick on the STI, it's the best 1911 for the money and they just shoot till no end.

HK45 feels very nice on my hand as well, 10x better than the USP.

I've also had one of the RangerII in 45ACP..very nice gun, great shooter.
I have a bag of recoil springs for the STI sitting on my bench if anyone's interested.
Really like the looks of the H&K...never did get along with the grip on the regular USP models....
Where did you score the H&K from, if I may ask?

From Wolverine.

A guy in my BB course this weekend has a HK45 aswell. He got his from Buffalo Gun, for well, alot less than some other guys did.

Anyways, the gun points perfecty for me. Double action is decent enough, but the pull is somewhat long. Single action is perfect and it was one of the most accurate guns in the class.

On my long list.

Really tells you something about HK's engineering genius if they've managed to make a single action only pistol with a decent double action pull :D
