Can G21 mags be made to work in a G21SF?

Hi Folks,

I'm wondering if there is just an extra mag release slot that needs to be cut in the mag or something simple like that...

The reason for my inquiry is that I hope to buy three or four "easy loading" pinned 13/10 round mags for my new G21SF, and I figure they might be hard to come by in the new configuration.

From my reading, SF mags will work in a non SF gun, but not the other way around, due to the need for another slot in the mag.

Thanks Colin...I had heard something to this effect, hence my question about whether they could be easily adapted or not. Just thinking somebody here may have already tried this.

Hi guys...I just searched Glock Talk about this and it seems there are fellows on there who have done this successfully. They have taken the old style G21 mags and cutout the front little piece of the liner, using one of the new ones as a model. They work fine.
