I really should just try this and not ask stupid questions, but do you think if I ran a .243 case through a .308 die, then a .338 Federal die I'd split the neck? I got a whack of cases from both .243 and .308. I've been using the .308 stuff to build my ammo, but was thinking of trying the .243 as well. I wonder if I'll just ruin them?

Try annealing the cases first. Its a fairly big bump-up from 6mm. Too much and you work harden the brass and it'll crack on you. Can't say as I've ever tried a 6mm to .338, but if you already have the cases its worth a shot. Even if you only get one or two reloads out of them, they're more useful than they are now right?
I have occasionally fireformed 7mm rem Mag to 358 Norma Mag!
Just lube up the inside of the neck of a few 243 cases, and give er a try!
