Help me!

I have a semi automatic Mossberg 930
I want to keep it new, any cleaning pointers?

A buddy or mine has a Remington 1100 he says he just sprays it down with WD-40 and wipes down, that good enough?

Tell your buddy that after his 1100 rusts away to nothing, he'll want to try something different on his next shotgun.

WD-40 is NOT a protective coating, it just displaces water.

I have some advice: lead and wadding can be made to look really shiny. Using a proper cleaning solvent on shotguns that are already "clean" can be pretty telling.

I just started using Ed's Red (google it) and I love what it does, especially for the price.

I just G96 everything. I soak the piston and bolts in a jar of varsol at the end of the season. The barrel gets scrubbed everytime after I get home.
