Question for 10/22 custom guru's

Ok, here it is. I'd like to take a 10/22 compact and make it look as much like an M1 Carbine as possible. I know it's already kinda close, but I want as many of the details as possible. Can anyone recommend parts, stocks etc?

A set of tech sights, modify a shotgun heatshield to fit and you're done?

I've got a muzzle brake that slips on around the stock front sight I could sell you if you think that would help. It won't work with the Tech sights though.
