I have been trying the search option looking for .284 win. loading discussions and can't find any. I'm sure there must be somewhere but not finding anything. I have a Win. M100 and am going to load some 140 gr. Nosler Ps.

Anyone with a M100 who reloads for it and has some info?

Win 100 not strong enough action? It's a commercial version of the M-14!He may need small based dies though.....................Harold

The gas system of the model 100 resembles the expansion chamber of the M-14 service rifle which allows a gradual buildup and expansion of gas against the piston according to the NRA book 3 firearms assembly guide. No adjustment of the gas system is required when changing from commerial loads or handloads of adequate power.I had mine fixed free when Win. [recall]changed the firing pin due to slam fires on some guns.Never had that problem with mine .308...............Harold

Well, it's not a commercial version of the M-14.
With that logic then a Remington 700 is a commercial version of a 1903 Springfield.

The 700 isn't a mauser copy is it? It's the NRA's opinion and it doesn't matter you can agree or not..................................Harold
