Saw these on SIR for pretty cheap, was wondering how accurate they actually are being of 3 piece construction...might make a good pack plinker.
 
I had one of the Charter Arms ones when they were new, it was pretty good. This past winter, My wife got one of the Ducks Unlimited editions of the Henry. Frankly I was surprised at how accurate it was. We're both pretty happy.

Be aware that you will have to run 1-200 rounds through it before it really gets reliable. That first couple of mags were a lot of "bang-click" type action.
The last time we took it shooting it was flawless for me.
And like any new gun, I think it's a really good idea to give it a good cleaning before you shoot it.
 
SIR has the Matte Black and Camo editions on their website...Camo is considerably more expensive but the Matte Black is cheap enough that I may just pick it up
 
I've only fired about a box of Remington Target through mine so far without a hiccup. It was shooting a bit low with the peep sight set as high as I could put it, but I'll have to try her again to confirm whether that's still the case every time the barrel is screwed back on.

The best thing about it is that I'll take it to places where I might otherwise not have brought along a firearm. Otherwise, I'll probably be using one of my other .22s.
 
They are about 199$ on SIR but I have seen them alot more expensive at other times, the camo edition is 249$

Thats why I was thinking about getting one Beadwindow, fits in a camping backpack quiet well.
 
Great for ordering stuff if there aren't alot of gun shops around where you live, my father and I have both ordered a few things from them.

I think if I saw them on sale I would definatly pick one up, would also be a good little gun to bring while doing other hunting for something to do.
 
Thats pretty cheap then, I wonder how much extra space there is in the stock compartment...for some extra bullets or survival knife or something.
 
Damn...oh well...will still probably end up picking one of them up. Won't take up much space on the gun rack either.
 
They suck big-time,so i'd have to say stay away..
i'd sell you mine,but it's all scratched up and dinged up from chucking it into the woods a couple times.

Nothing i hate more than a gun that won't shoot strait

Simply put, the Henry is a lot lighter (than the Armalite/Charter Arms versions) because of that barrel, but that same barrel's construction precludes you from firing the hyper-rounds. That limitation, and the lack of a match-grade trigger and match-grade accuracy make this the worst gun ever...

It's a dandy, light lil plinker that functions great with the right ammo. It's a picky eater, but it can give you 8-shots of semi-auto rimfire whenever and where-ever, if you feed it right. Otherwise, it's also a grand straight-pull CB Long shooter... ;)
 
Hi-velocity solids are your best bet (CCI Minimags!!) for the Henry. Dynapoints have a 70% or so feed-rate in mine.

I've heard good things about Rem Thunderbolts, but mainly in connection with other versions of the AR-7.
