Cars and Guns.

One of these days I'll ride my motorcycle with a shotgun strapped to my back. Unloaded of course as per CFC rules :D

the other point is to rehearse yourself if you're going the guitar case route- chances are if you're carrying , someone's going to ask what's in it- best to come off like a grump and tell him to mind his own business- if you say something like fender or one of the well known brands, they're going to want to see it

I've ridden to the range on my motorcycle with my rifle in a hardcase strapped across the back of the bike. Right past a cruiser once, never got stopped. (Montreal)

Got that covered. "Tis' my copious collection of toe-nail clippins', sir"

Try a cello case. Trust me no one will ask.

nice thing about the uzi- it fits in a flite line attache case- spare mags too- now if only there were that "secret sam" button- those who had the toy know what i mean

Interesting thread,

So if I throw my glock with a cable lock in a padded case, lock that too and throw it in my backpack with 500 rounds I can take it directly to the range by any means necessary?
ex, walking, biking, or public transit?

From what I'm reading this is perfectly legal, and as long as it doesn't look suspicious then I'm not going to get hassled.

Don't #### on me but, when I was a kid (maybe 15/16?) I used to go down to my local rod and gun shop and order out of his catalog. He knew my mom and dad and that was that. I'd wrap my rifles in a sleeping bag cover and bungie them to my bike, and pedal up to the local range. I was polite and a regular, and nobody batted an eye. I look back now and laugh. How times have changed. By the way, I'm 35, not 65. Whats next eh? We'd better protect the rights we have, things change fast.

Of course you can....I guess you shold take the most direct route however...

Well thats good to hear, but a good question to follow;

Would it be better to take the most direct route even though its an hour longer (by foot), or a slightly indirect one using the train which would shave off that hour?

That depends. Is it a nice day and you feel like walking? Is the train more expensive? Is it raining and the train is the best way to get there?

The phrase on my ATT is "reasonably direct" - anything that isn't unreasonable must be reasonable, and walking because you like good weather is reasonable. So is taking the train because you want to save time.

Lawmakers really ought not use that word "reasonable" when they want to pass something off to the courts.

It has to be said, you guys are just a little too paranoid. I have never worried about what the sheeple thought and never will. People here don't say boo to anyone, or even meet eye contact half the time, and are usually so caught up in there own world that they don't seem to care about me and my harmless little case. As long as you are following the law, and not being intimidating then why worry? If you look suspicious, people will give you a harder look. Just my 2 cents.
