.455 Webley MKI any ammo on the market ?

Just bought a MKI webley .455 caliber, and would like to know if there is a place I can buy ammo for it. I am not really into reloading, and would like a few box of ammo for it.
 
I think I read somewhere there is a difference between the .455 Mk I and the .455 MKII ammo. Is that correct ?

If there is, can anyone explain me what the difference is, and what I shall look for ?

The MKI one had a longer case remember a MKI webley was proofed for black powder Doug rayner gets fiocci in from time to time 1-306-689-2654 you can buy the shorter MKII brass from buffalo arms . the MKII cases work better with smokeless the difference is case length the mark I had greater case length because it was for black powder both lengths should chamber in your MKI

right on with the mk1,mk2 stuff .does anyone know where to get mk1 brass?[even old ballon head stuff]
 
Kerry Jenkins makes MKI length brass from 45 colt he shortens it and thins the rim I have some it works well PH# 250-442-5718
 
seriously, I would not shoot Fiocchi in a Mk1 Webley, only in a Mk5 0r Mk6. Their ammo is HOT. If you are not into reloading, find someone who will do it for you. MV should be 620FPS which you can arrive at with 5.0gr of Unique.

Of course now you will need a source for that 260gr hollow base Webley bullet. RCBS does make the mould.
I bought one since I have a number of Webleys, a couple of Adams, a Tranter, and a Kynoch
 
I know that fiocchi ammo is generally hot, but is it really unsafe in a MK1/2?

I believe the steel was upgraded for the MK4's.

Well i have shot it in both MKI and MKII Revolvers with NO ill effects.
I also Pulled a Factory Rd and theres only about 5 grs of Powder and its not Bullseye.

I have shot lotsa 5 gr unique loads to.

Some people will jump all over you for shooting it in the old webs tho.

All the guns i shot Fiocchi in were in ex condition and the guns didnt loosen up even a tad! after 4 or 5 boxes.
All Extraction was efortless and there was no Primer flow.
If your worried about 455 Fiocchi buy the Hornady 455 Ammo its loaded a little lighter.

Now the 450 Fiocchi is Hoter than it should be i would not shoot 450 Fiochhi in most 450 Chambered Antiques.

This is my opion based on my shooting and pulling and checking the charge of a factory 455 fiocchi
Tho i dont know what Powder Fiocchi uses.
Its not bullseye tho.
these tests were done years ago tho.
