Okay...let me get my head around this one..your going to put a "can" on the end of your gun right? Have you considered putting a bottle on the end as they are already threaded? All you will need is a" pop bottle threadXbarrel thread adapter",it may be the same thread as the common garden hose, in which case you could use Gardenia quick couplers. Just remember..I thought of it first!!
Wouldn't a bottle supress the sound even just a little bit though?
I think bigger hole is better for accuracy. Bullet drags sonic wave and if its too close to the surface then it reflects that wave back. And if one of the walls is closer then it will affect bullet path even if its not touching the bullet itself.
Now regarding P22. I have mentioned it earlier on some other threads, P22 barrel is way too thin and mounted to a pussy plastic frame with a little clamp with just one screw. If you put anything on the barrel that is longer than barrel and presumably heavy ( like chunk of solid aluminium) if will wreck your otherwise good gun. I say do not mess with it.
I don't think you need a CNC machine to drill and tap a hole in a long piece of metal.I want one for my AR.. but I dont know anybody with a CnC machine around the peg area...

Why make a fake when you can buy one? http://www.mfiap.com/airsoft/acce/silencer.htm
Good god! The first guy thinks he needs a CNC machine to drill and tap a hole. The second guy thinks a CNC machine can't produce threads.all you need is a lathe and a tap & die set. a cnc machine wouldn't be able to thread anything
A fine would be the least of your worries. If caught and convicted of possession of a prohibited weapon you would most likely lose all your guns and get a ten year prohibition on owning guns. Depending on the circumstances you'd be lucky to avoid at least some minor jail time.you're relying, potentially, on police being able to differentiate between real and fake and dabbling in a legal grey area. as well as some cool photos, you're just as likely to get slapped with a fine for possession of a prohibited device

Any of you actually ever seen one of these machines?
A CNC lathe is perfectly capable of producing both internal and external thread by both single point and tap. In fact a CNC mill can even drill and tap a hole.
good luck getting those through customs
You need to know what you're talking about before you shoot your mouth off. They come through just fine. I've had more than one order from them and so have others on CGN.
