Hunting question

My husband had given up hunting until we met & when he found out that I loved the sport, he started up again. There are 2 of us ladies in our group of 7. If anything, the girls are in the woods more often than the guys!! I think that if the guys need to get away from their wives, there's a problem!! When you are truly compatible, you can do everything together. (Just my opinion guys!!)

Ever since I told her friend that Bambi wasn't real and if she did more outdoors stuff she wouldn't have such a fat ass, I haven't been invited out much........

We are polar opposites in most ways.

This is awesome. I felt like saying that to a couple of my wife's friends as well.

My wife is a vet. Killing animals is not her cup of tea...that is until she gets in a gopher patch with a 22 and a brick of shells. Some switch goes off and she turns. I've taken her hunting a couple of times. Never seen anyone fall asleep on a rock before, plus while she was sleeping, a bull moose walked by her at about 30 yds. She also enjoys coyote hunting, gets her blood flowing.

Well I enjoy hunting with my wife she is a great outdoorswomen she enjoy hunting, fishing and camping. Her father only had daughters so he made sure he passed on all the outdoor skills he had to them. Last year she tagged two whitetail deer. Now with bear season just around the conner she told me the other day that she is excited to get out hunting again. I find myself lucky to have such a dependable hunting partner.

I have been dating my girlfriend for 8 months and in the last couple of months we've been going shooting at least once a week. This week it was twice. I shoot my shotgun. She shoots a .22. On Tuesday we bought her first gun. A Remington 597. I would definitely take her hunting with me. But it depends on hunting what. And what the circumstances would be. I wouldn't mind chicken, rabbit, and gopher hunting with her right now. But as it stands she is not allowed to come goose, duck, bear, or deer hunting with me. She is getting pretty darned good with her .22 and she has shot a .22-250 from 70 yards and got within an inch group. A pleasure to shoot with.

I forgot to mention that it will make it easier to tell her that I'm buying a new gun. That's something I'm looking forward to.

Hunting is the best when my wife is there. I like her to see and experience the wonderful things that I grew up with. I love her very much and wouldn't want it any other way.

The Girl doesn't liek to kill things (although she does on the farm sometimes) so she doesn't go hunting.

She shoots sometimes, shes pretty good at it..

I'd love to have her as a hunting partner. I'd rather share a tent with her than some snoring male companion...

Mine is a clay target shooter, Sskeet, Sporting & 5 Stand, occasionally a little Trap... tried hunting, but not her cup o' tea at all... but really likes game on the table, none-the-less.

There's no problem from my perspective if there's a lady or two in camp.

Hunted with a few before that were "head & shoulders" better hunters and camp companions than some of the guys that showed up from time to time
( and subsequently were weeded out ! ) A couple were even better shooters.

It's not at all difficult to offer the modest amount of privacy required, and to otherwise keep things at a civilized level.

My wife does not hunt, shot a few gophers and such, but that's about it. I have recently met a couple of her female friends, and they enrolled in my hunter education /firearms safety class. Now they want to go hunting with me, and she's quite supportive! That's a class act and a part of why I love her.

It is always good to get women involved in the sport. And young children. This way when the boys get older they can find a woman that likes to shoot or hunt and not have to come up with all kinds of excuses to go more often than not. I know some guys out there do not have this issue with wives but there are those of us that do. I trained my daughters to handle firearms from when they were 8. ( I have 6) They are not intimidated by firearms when my buddy's are out shooting in my back yard.

My wife went Springbuck hunting with me a few years ago. The farmer lent her a Sako 222 to shoot with. She hit an orange at 100 yds so I decided to give her the next shot. While waiting for the herd to come our way I fiddled with the iron sight underneath the scope. Out of nowhere a lone ram surprised us from the one side. Very excited she said: My turn! My turn!

For some stupid reason she held the scope so far from her eyes that she did not get a sight picture. Instead of shooting the buck she went off on me for "breaking" the scope! While she was fighting with me I took my 30.06 and put it down with a headshot. Boy was I in trouble! You shelfish bastard why did you shoot my buck??!! You cannot win. Now she stays at home and I enjoy my hunting.

My wife has gone a couple times, but is just not that interested. I also like to hunt alone, although have been taking the kids with me on warmer days last few years.

My wife shot a couple deer years ago and went to South Africa with me as an observer. I don't think her interest is very high. My daughters come to the range to shoot .22s and handguns but again there just isn't much interest. They go hunting with me on occasion, but I wouldn't bet on them hunting themselves. My son, on the otherhand, watch out.
You can't live in my house without being immersed in hunting and gun culture. Still, I think that on average the females are somewhat immune to it.

I dont think I could handle hunting with a guy I was with. I have my own way of doing things and im set in my ways of doing things. The moment he commented I would rip him a new one lol
