Need a quick answer RE: IPSC

Goto the IPSC website and look at the rule book. You are limited to the things you can do or have been done to your gun if you are to shoot in PRODUCTION. Some simple modifications or changes can move you to Standard. If you are just starting, you are not going to come in first in your first match in which ever division you think you fit into , so just shoot the match and have fun . Be safe and have fun, thats what is all about.

hmm good point. I just did the course in single action, cocked and locked, which I guess would put me in Open??? Maybe I'll do the match the same since I'm kind of used to it now, and I'm really only concerned right now with getting through without a DQ so I can send in all my paperwork.

Nope, cocked and locked with your gun puts you in standard.

it'll take a bit, and you'll make mistakes, but eventually you'll learn most of the important rules and understand how things work. I still mess up on stuff though, and I'm "supposed" to know what I'm doing.
