Hi All,

First of all I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for answering all my newbie questions. Don't worry, more are coming and I'm sure they'll be just as ridiculous.

I've booked myself in for my PAL and R-PAL courses for the weekend of May 24th. Not expecting too much trouble from what everyone is telling me, just need to pay attention...

With a little luck I should be well ensconced in gov't bureaucracy in 10 days or so... off to impatiently await the mail.

I took CORE last week and passed with flying colors...and today took my PAL and also passed with flying colors. going to take RPAL next week...no doubt to pass with flying colors, too! :D
 
Ok. I'm a little confused here... I've heard mention of the CORE exam but can't seem to find any information on it. My instructor didn't mention it and I don't see it on the CFC either. Is this a separate test or am I missing something?

Don't be surprised to get the occassional hard time from the smaller gun store owners when you tell them you don't hunt. Get the usual: "whadya need a gun fer if yer not huntin'?". I've had that happen a couple times in the past. Annoying Fudds!
