Where to buy cosmoline in Canada?

Are you planning to store for a long time or do you just want something you can check on periodically and wipe off easily?

I use Corrosion X now for storage and for general oiling. It is a lot easier to clean up and it stays on pretty good.

Lacking that, I just dunk metal parts in 10W30 and drop in a Ziploc or wrap in shrink wrap. It works great for long term storage.

About the only thing I'd want to use Cosmoline for would be to dunk freshly parkerized metal in to get it to turn a greenish hue.

I am not at all accusing you of doing this, but why do I get the feeling that if cosmo was widely available, that we would see a lot of military firearms being sold as "still packed in cosmo"
I'm glad you're not..because i don't sell firearms..but am planing on storing some magazine's long term that will one day be considered rare

Try LPS 3, it conforms to MIL-C-16173 it is available in aerosol cans and is an effective corrosion preventative compound. While not identical to the MIL spec of Cosmoline, Tectyl makes a MIL-C-16173 CPC that is a standard in the helicopter industry (Bell products in particular) for fasteners and faying surfaces - very effective and comparatively easy to remove (varsol) as compared to the Cosmoline coated parts I have had the pleasure to deal with. The LPS 3 will gel as the solvents evaporate to create a long lasting coating. Good luck.
