I was wondering what a longbranch 1945 .22 would be worth, the wood has tiger strips in the grain, a large flip up appeture. Its all matching with sling, wood I would say is 95% and blueing 95%+ it hasn't been fired as far as I can tell still has grease packed in the action. Interesting piece of history with it apparently it was a gift from winchester to the cooey family when they bought the company.

For comparison, here's a great article by "stencollector" on a 1944 C No.7 .22 Caliber Lee-Enfield Training Rifle (click here)http://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=2192 in the Knowledge Library.

If it's "all correct" (not an armourer put-together), could fetch between $800 (basic) and $1,500 (complete set), depending upon how complete it is and what accessories come with it. ie: transit chest, cleaning jags, miniature targets and so on ......

It also depends a lot on law of supply and demand, plus who is looking and interested on any given day. If you want to sell it and maximize your sale value, I'd have a tendency to put it up for auction and see what happens.

Really need pics with some good close ups up serial number areas on bolt and receiver, to better assess it though.

Hope this helps ... :)

Badger
