HK P7 PSP Club

I don't own that M10 anymore, but coincidentally, you know who owns it now. Remember the P7M8 / P7M13 deal we did? Well, the other party in that deal is now the proud owner of the P7M10 in the pic.

Haha, yes, I remember. The dirty P7 love triangle. The "other party" got hit by the P7 addiction bad.

I'm not a big HK fan, but... I definately wanted one of these. The PSP model is the best bang for the buck. Plus I happen to like that a former Police service pistol isn't getting melted or chopped. :D

The PSP is the cheapest, with many having come into Canada recently in the $850 range (former German police department refurbs). It has a European style heel mag release, and it's mags hold eight rounds.

The P7M8 has the more modern style side magazine release, and also has single stack magazines with eight round capacity. Some of these are (I believe) still available new in box, although it has been discontinued. These are priced in the $1800 - $2000 range.

The P7M13 is a double stack equivalent to the M8, and would normally hold 13 rounds, if not for our laws which restrict it to 10. It's a bit bigger than the others, obviously. These are also in the $2000 range.

I'm not specifically familiar with the M10, but I would guess it has a ten round magazine capacity.

Magazines are rare and expensive for all of these ... perhaps most so for the P7 PSP, with its recent releases here and in the USA fueling mass purchasing of available supplies. I'm hoping I can find even just one more mag (for a whopping total of 2) for my PSP.

I would argue that the "one to get" is the PSP, if only for the much lower price of the recently imported refurbs. I've lusted over the P7M8 for years, but $2000 could buy me alot of different very nice guns, and I've never been able to justify it for that one.

Thank you, for the very informative reply ! So if I understand this right, the P7M8 or the PSP is the smallest of the restricteds ? I thought I saw a special edition once, had wood grips ? What was that one called ?

Thanks Again

Jay

CCW Holster

i want a good holster for my PSP anyone know of a nice CCW one ? lots of p7m8 one but they don't fit the PSP.

Try Raven Concealment, I've read and heard alot of good things about them. Check out 10-8 forums and there are some pics.

My buddies PSP is the most accurate pistol I have ever shot, PERIOD! One raged hole at 10 yards....It just irks me that he can outshoot me and my G19!!!

It's Ok though - he still knows I'm a better shot...right?:D

If you can find a Del Fatti, jump on it. Finest leather one can get for the P7. The official holster of the P7 cult.

I think the Del Fatti's are a little overrated. I have one for the P7M8, it was SO tight that I needed to wrap the gun in plastic and stretch it. Think I over did it a bit but when on the belt now, it comes out easy and doesn't fall out.

Compare this with my experience with Alessi CQC/S holsters. Lou's holsters are snug but they 'pop' out with a good pull right out of the bag and maintains it's security for long time too. Lou's wait time is over a year at the current time.

Lou's leather is a little more 'stiff' than the Delfatti as well.

over the last 10 years have always owned at least one P7 M8. they are in my humble opinion one of, if not, thee, very best carry gun. as far as civilian battle rattle goes you could do far worse.

The special edition is called the Jubilee, they're quite pricey.

Misfire,

if i may ask...
where did you aquire those wood grips for you P7?
and...i've never seen an HK P7M8 marked "Sidearms" on the slide.

i.

Those are Karl Nill grips, SOCOM Supplies is supposed to be importing them.

Now that you mention it, I've never seen "HK Sidearms" ever stamped on a gun either.... What's the date code on that sucker?

The date code on my P7 is AH. Here's a pre-Nill photo of the other side. This is supposed to be one among their 'last' run of P7M8's. (I'm sure many P7 fans have heard this before...;))

Yep, AH would be 2007. Not many of those in the country. There was a huge batch of AE coded units at the various dealers. I don't think any AG coded ones made it to our shores at all, although there was a few dozen AG coded M13s for sale.
