I'll second what telesquirt said. I picked up a 308, also from a Gunnutzer and although I didn't do any extensive testing at the range, it shot a lot better than I anticipated, using SA surplus. I only have the iron sights and out to 100 yards it was at least as accurrate as my scoped Remington 700 BDL in 30-06.
As stated, suprisingly low recoil and a nice light rifle to handle.
It breaks down easily into 3 pieces and will make a nice "truck" or back up gun.
I'm seriously considering getting a couple more in other calibres.
I see in the remington catalogue that they are importing Russian singles - anyone know if they are the same Baikals?
