Hello all,

I was wondering do AR15 mag binders exist? if so where can I get them and for how much.

They have a tactical-pul baseplate for the LAR15 mags, why not mag a double sided base plate so you can have 2 attached together.

If they don't exist... someone make them already!

This is what I want to do. I was thinking of bolting the base plates together with a spacer inbetween.

I am just surprised no one has made them yet... I bet they would sell really good in Canada. Especially now that we have the LAR15 mags :D

Be sure to post pictures once you make your mag binder.

Does anyone know where to buy mag floorplates in bulk, and what metal they are made of? If they are steel, I'm thinking one could buy a bunch, drill two holes in each one and stick a spacer inbetween them and weld the plates to the spacer through the holes.

When I was modifying 5/30 mags a few years back I needed about 20 floorplates, I got some DPMS plates from TSE.

Do you know if they are steel? Brownells sells them for $1.50 each or $12 for ten, but they are anodized aluminum. I've tried to weld aluminum before and it didn't go so well.

Those look like they fit the mags side by side. The OP is wondering about fitting two LAR 15 mags end to end so they look closer to the 30 rounders, like this:

Seems all the floorplates I have found are aluminum. I just realized I could rivet two floorplates together with a spacer. When I get some money I'll get two ten rounders from Questar and try it out.

You would get dirt and debris in the bottom mag if the floorplates were butted against each other. Instant mark of an amateur is two mags taped together upside down.
