I was just wondering about the quality of k-31's converted to 30-30. Id just like one as a beater, maby have it scoped etc... what are their approximate worth?

thanks in advance

It was the model 1911 rifle that was converted to 30-30.

I love mine, short handy accurate and cheap. Picked it up for $75, never once regretted it.

The chambers were actually sleeved. Doesn't seem to be a problem though.

One of the dealers on this site, Del Delin, might just have one for sale.

I was looking at one of those at the gun show last wknd...kind of appealing as the ammo would be much easier to find. But then, 30-30 was never a military round so it's not like I'm going to find surplus...:(

Didn't the Mexican army use 30/30's at one time?
Also don't forget our Rangers. :D

But more to the point reloading 30/30 is pretty easy, and not that expensive.

You'll need to keep your brass separate or use small base dies to reload. I couldn't get brass fired in my marlin to go into the my 1889. No problem the other way around though.
