So I was one of the last guys to get the in stock Elite CAR A4. This is my first purchase from Questar any one have any ideas how long before i get my new toy at my doorstep in Qu:dancingbanana:ebec?

Well I'd say 2-4 days of shipping time from Ont to Que depending on how it goes but your longest wait will probably the the CFO with the restricted transfer.

I'm in Quebec too, bought a revolver from a particular around Christmas and the CFO took about a month to approve the deal.

Bought a P7M8 from Wolverine supplies last week, and I have received it already (not even 5 work days :runaway:)

It's hit or miss really, I hope you luck out too :)

In Quebec, for a restricted semi auto rifle; 4 to 6 weeks, a prohib or restricted pistol; 5 days.

For a semi auto restricted rifle like an AR there is a mandatory waiting period, suppose to be for public safety

Might take a while...
Like for mine, the SQ will call your relatives (Anastasia`s new regulation) and in the mean time..informed them you want to buy an AR

Should be done in 3-4 weeks

If it's your first purchase since the "incident", it will take 2 months. I ordered a Stag from Walt in january and it took exactly 8 weeks to get the transfer. The lady at Partenais told me that for future purchases it would probably take less time...

Hey does anyone now the official process for the transfer? I have bought restricted hand guns in the past but this is my first restricted rifle. I have looked everywhere and it seems it is not in writing anywhere. I have had some member say they are going to call my relatives? What relatives I have my wife at home and that’s it.

Youre buying thru a dealer, the dealer will handle the transfert, the dealer will ask you the reason (target shooting or collection) let me guess it must be target shooting;) )
Then you wait.
The Quebec CFO will call a reference ( you did submit 2 references when you filled your firearms permit remember?
When the CFO has approved the transfert, the dealer will ship your gun.

Ok here’s an update, I was eating supper last night with my wife and who calls the SQ(CFO Quebec), they asked my wife if it was ok if I bought a restricted firearm? What the hell? Its not my first restricted firearm, is this going to happen every time I buy a gun? I mean really, this means the wife is going to know every time a buy a gun . not good.

Ya? So?

You did a panic buy I see. :runaway:
Did you call 13 different dealers and order a dozen folding stocks too?:dancingbanana:

LOL.... See.

Told ya.

Questar made it out to be a big deal... How many people got suckered into the panic buy. He was the only one that made a big deal about the new import rules.
I guess he wanted to get rid of his stock before all the other guys start getting in their 11.5" and 14.5" rifles from the UK.

I don't think he'll have any problems selling his wares. Sabres are in, and for that price, you can keep your collapsible stock.
