Bad News for AR enthusiasts

From that weblink:
So, back on track, unless there's some sort of contract prohibiting it, AR parts could come from Belgium. Personally, I think I'd rather have a FN AR than a Colt anyhow.

Do realize that FN has plants in all sorts of countries, making everything from Assult Rifles for military/LE to your Winchester M70 or Browning shotgun ?? :p

Yes they manufacture stuff, doesn't mean the Herstal Group does so in Belgium.

The FN plant that makes AR's is in the US. They make the M16A4's for the US military and have never sold to the civie market that I know of.

When FN started making the M16's here a bunch of barrels were available of which I got a couple, they were in the white but we had them parked.
They are the only FN M16 parts I have seen .

I would like to know why?? Why can't MRP's uppers come in? Or piston uppers?
Those are the parts that would make me buy LMT.

Barrels marked 5.56 Nato, Collapsible Stocks. If any LMT stuff will be allowed to be exported Mark will surely stock them. For now looking at Questar's website no LMT anything can be had. :(

I was debating a piston upper.

I have faith in the suppliers in Canada to seek out other sources for rifles, parts etc. I never cease to be amazed with what questar, wolverine and other suppliers manage to find for us. Although the market in Canada is not as big as the US there are a tonne of guys on this board and other places that spend every spare penny that they have on guns and accessories. I am one of them. No matter how much I get, I want more and more. Guys like Mark and John are clever and will find us other stuff from other sources at good prices.

Well said
I agree, look at all we can get form our contributing dealers
They amaze me more and more

Have faith, give them time to adapt, I'm pretty sure that most of them have already look at options and will come out with something very fast

i would love it if someone found away to get a sang compatable 30 round magazine into canada at a decent cost if they where PMags heck even more

i havea feeling a guy named Dave M might of had an hand in this through a woman named Sara B does any one know if this will put an end to the 10 round pistol mags?

This announcement was a real kick for anyone who wanted to buy a LMT, my club had 3 complete MRP rifles + 3 MRP uppers which were standing in the vault for weeks. We sold them all in 3 days.
