Last weekend (Sunday and Monday), a buddy and I went down to the Mankota area for a gopher shoot. We got there after lunch and drove to the area I was at last year. Hmm... didn't seem to be that many around. However, we did manage to find a couple of good spots and shot until supper time. We went in to town and had a good steak at the Rancher's Nook, then went back. The gophers were out in force by then. We shot in a vacant farm yard until nearly dark. Next morning we went to another vacant yard and walked up and down the little road north and south. We then settled in the old yard for 2 1/2 hours of blasting.:shotgun: All morning we were using 12 guage shotguns, as it was too windy to hold a bead on gophers with our .22's. Between us, we shot over 150 rnds. of 12 ga. I used my faithful old Beretta 301 semi. My buddy was using a pump. Next time, we will be taking more 12 ga ammo!!!

I know, I know...:slap: We should have been vacuuming the cute little things up and relocating them, but the vacuum wasn't available.:D
