Just wondering what an older ####'n click de-activated AK is worth? I want want for the collection and screw with the old guys heads at the hunt camp

(No not you Fogducker) :D LOL

Whatever the scrap metal is worth.

Cant fire anymore, why should it retain any value?

Just my view on dewats. It's a paperweight now, nothing more.

I personally wouldn't give anymore then $100 for a dewat.

The price of any DEWAT can usually be determined by taking the live counterpart's current market value and adding about $50. I'm thinking $500 will get you a Norinco AKM.

I agree. However, a Russian vintage AK can run a little bit more. I've seen them for arounr $450-$500 but also at the hideously overpriced Collector's Source for .... $800??? That was an early Russian one however, Izevsk.

AK 47 Dewat

I hate to see something turned into a dewat, but if that's all you can get, I guess you will have to take it. A good job on a dewat Russian milled receiver would start at about $500.

I am not trying to hijack this thread but I hate to see dewats.
If someone is thinking of dewating an AK, FN, or anything in the following classes, a CA or semi-auto only contact me and I'll try to trade you something for it. I am in the 12-3, 12-5, and 12-6 classes.

But when the unspeakable happens... we don't want the state destroying them.

Yunker..... $1000...

I wonder if a #### and click would go for 500 now... that's a tall order... maybe even more than 500.
