3rd burst in AR systems is garbage, If you let go after 1 shot, next pull is 2 and stop. Stop after two shots and next pull is 1 shot and it stops. Garbage. AR wasnt designed for it.

Its a ratchet system isn't it? or did somebody already say that?
Just make sure to hold the trigger down for the whole 3 rd burst then.:D

Wasn't the whole ideal behind it something about the optimal # of rds to hit a target? with an eye to conserve ammo[@%&*@#$: bean counters].

Whats next, magazine cut-offs on Lee-Enfields,Oh,wait they allready tried that, worked just as well.

SBS uses the same. There was an article about Brit use of the C7 and apparently the Royal Marines "specialists" use the C7. The Mountain and Arctic Warfare Cadre were specifically mentioned, so I assume the SBS would also.

Figure the magazines are standard SA80, parts common with there closest partner in war makes the C8 an obvious choice. Not to mention works well from day 1 of service unlike SA80 would impress any british soldiers.
