Ok so I posted the question regarding this type of pistol in the legalese section and the general consensus is that if this were imported from a manufacturer in the above configuration it would be restricted, not prohib. I'm not talking about chopping it down...but getting it manufactured and imported to the above specs.

I'm thinking this should be possible to get made out of a Norinco JW-2000-12 and imported as restricted....and for fairly cheap...

I know I would buy one in a heartbeat, anyone else interested?

Edit: just to clarify - I have no idea how to import firearms. This is a nudge to the importers on the board to do so...Please, Please! :)

I personally feel no self respecting, honest, law abiding GunNut would want one except for an addition to his/her collection (deactivated for display only).

I voted yes.

 and

Is that an insult?

It sounded like an insult.

:runaway:

If this was in 410 or 28, it would be fun to plink sometimes, but only if it came with a better looking polymer pistol grip.
But I would never buy this in 12 ga or similar calibre, and with a butt ugly stock crying 'I am a sawed off son of Bubba!'.
And finally, this should cost no more than $200.

comments Deleted :) cause I don't want it locked.

Edit - it's cool if you don't want it. But It would make a fun range plinker IMHO. Just like all my other hanguns that I'm only allowed to use at the range. To me it's just a hangun, like all the others out there, it looks mean, but so does a desert eagle.

With ban-the evil-shotgun attitudes like that here, who needs the CFGC?

Phuk! I am very disappointed in you. The thing that you like is next, you know.

I want to buy one even more now, just on principle.

X2 It's useless.

it's as useless as any pistol sold to legitimate owners in Canada. For frig sakes guys....it would be imported restricted....which means a range gun only...it would be as fun as any of the pistols I own...

Sheesh..I feel like I'm talking to the libs when they decided what would be prohib and what wouldn't....

Lib: "Lets see, this handgun looks mean...and I saw a criminal using it in a movie...I know, lets ban it like we did to the AK!!!....

I don't care if it's not your cup of tea, but we're doomed if our own CGN MEMBERS think this way..

All firearms are useless in the eyes of an anti, ask that guy Miller.

Of course it would be restricted and totally legal if imported in that configuration.

You bet i would buy one, even in the restricted class, but not with external hammers though, not a good idea with this kind of short shotgun.

20 ga would be nice, better than 12 ga.

I once had a Ithaca Auto & Burglar in 20 ga in exactly the same configuration (legal and restricted), fun to shoot, but to me it's more like a collectable firearm.

Still regret selling that Auto & Burglar.:(

Heres pictures of the one i had.
