I want to scope my new .243 Ruger VT. The intended use is crows, GH's and coyotes to a 500 yard occasional max. I don't want a super high power scope, but I will list what I want and see if anyone of you know of its existence.
I would like the following features:
-A max variable or fixed power of 12 (give or take 2x) I can hold these the steadieset and not freak out.
-A fine crosshair. I detest the cluttered mildot reticles.
-Target turrets. I grew up shooting 3D and field archery in open class and like the idea of getting the yardage and dialing in the site to be able to hit what I am holding on.
-Decent eye relief. Even though the rifle won't be a walkabout gun, I don't want to waste time trying to find a posing coyote at 400 yards when my head isn't perfect behind the scope in a quick opportunity.
The Bushnell 3200 10x40 would be great without that mildot reticle. Also, Burris has some new variable's I like but have that ballistic plex that bugs me a little. Let me know if what I want is out there. This is a great site guys! Rob.
