Norinco M4

wasn`t it dlask many..many months ago said about bringing in a bunch of chinese M4 but then no more word on it...like always :D
Maybe they changed their mind or maybe the guns are already here, who knows?

So who's bringing them in, and how much are they asking? Good to know that they're imperial.
They also have 6-position adjustable stock.
There will be enough companies to sell it so it's going to be
competition to keep prices down.

I guess my poll worked Lecta...
No, it did not.
(Unless, of course, you are talking about
making a great amount of noise, increasing
the site trafic and the number of views
for the site contributors’ banners and websites).

I’ll believe it when I see one single rifle (97)
at your delusional price of $800.
This is not to mention the initial $400, math formulas,
wagers, pre-paid schemes, etc and other ridiculous things.
Untill then, enjoy the internet,
work hard, pay taxes, pay the bills
and save money to buy cool shyte.

So, offer the rifle at your $800 retail price.
Underselling Lever's by 2-3 hundred bux
doesn't quite make it $800. Right?
People are getting tired of waiting for that
price for the last 1-1/2 years.

I have always said $800 for the 97 when everyone else said $1500 is all we can expect.WHEN, yes, WHEN they arrive at that price, you owe me a pitcher of beer.
You know what? Fcuk this gun.
I'll be more than happy to buy you a pitcher anytime,
regardless of the price of this gun.
You are a great guy and you deserve that.
(Can i call you "my internet buddy"?
What about "the internet bogey-man"? Can I? Please....:D )
But WHEN, yeah, fukken WHEN they arrive at that price,
that is the question.
It’s been a ridiculous year and a half
since the first pics of this gun in Canada.

This is Easter Bunny Deckard shown here in his store
where he's selling all kind of free sh!t and he's preaching the theory
of retail prices under the manufacturing costs
to whoever has the goodwill and patience to listen to him :D
But he's a nice guy. I'll buy him a beer anytime
(pitcher, keg, barrel, whatever he can wrestle).

I think they would have had better ad copy putting a just about anything else on that flat top, including a detachable carry handle.

Dr. Lector, a very plausible scenario. The cost of raw materials is rising, and so are wages, especially for skilled workers and managers.

From an Economist article published in January:

Labour costs are up 30-35% since last year, according to Jeffrey Lam, a member of Hong Kong's legislature who runs a toymaking company and is an adviser to the territory's local trade group. Wages are up by 10-15%, he says, and a new labour-protection law that came into effect on January 1st increases costs by the same amount again. The yuan, China's currency, is appreciating. Even with higher pay, factories are short of workers, so costs seem likely to rise further.

When a large American retail chain recently sought to order some shoes for April it was asked to pay 20% more than the quote it received in October for delivery next month.

That's so true.
I wonder how much raise in pay the Canadians had
in the same period of time

Don't forget that the US company is probably paying $US,
that maybe took a plunge in the same perod of time,
and not exactly the best currency right now to go shopping with
around the world.

Chavez and few others are paying Euros for
boatloads of these kind of shoes and other sh!t from China ;)

I'll go out on a limb, and guess that Deckard's price is closer than Lector's price.

Exactly which one? $400 or $800????
And after how long?????? it's been already a year and a half......
Actually it's kind of painfull
to put your hooby on hold for a year and a half,
or sad that people can't snap out of this 97 thing.
For a year and a half people's lifes went on and on
(I'm talking about normal people here),
they had fun, went shooting, etc.
Meanwhile, few other cool bullpup guns came on the market:
the civvie version of T88 in 5.56,
the SE-980 (in .223)
the chinese copy of the WTSP (22LR with banana clips)
and I heard rumors of few others.
97 is no longer a novelty.
Sure in few years from now you'll find it on EE
for a fraction of that price,
You can also buy right now a Garand as your dearly plinker toy, but.....

SE-980 is a semiauto that was built in 300 calibers so far, mostly 308. It looks kinda like a Type 88 without the flip-up sights. It was the gun that the Type 88 in 308 was based on. I was told about the 223 version but I'm yet to see one.
WTSP22 is the coolest and nicest bullpup I've seen. The only one I found for sale was 2k used but not abused. It is a semi 22 and people say the chinese are copying it right now. If it's an accurate copy, I can't wait for it.

Even google can't tell me what SE-980 looks like, is that top secret or what?
It's not secret, but as you can see above, people are starting to ask all kind of retarded questions.

Lector, what kind of finishing is that?
Also, do we have to wait until after the Olympics for these guns?
The SE-980 (exactly like the one Pete H. has) is it military or not?

I don’t think pix at this stage
would serve any purpose for anybody ;) :)
But Deckard can start his polls without that anyway :D :D :D

Lector, what kind of finishing is that?
The one in that very particular pic is hard anodized and teflon coated,
but I’ve seen ones that were not teflon coated.
It depends what factory build the gun and when.
I’m not sure about the military ones what kind of finishes they have,
but I can guess they are coated acording to the customer specs.

Also, do we have to wait until after the Olympics for these guns?
I don’t know for sure about the waiting after the olympic games.
I just heard about a shipment of stuff just landed
in an eastern province at the end of last week
while others are going to wait until after olympics ;)
I guess it basically depends on who you are,
like everything else in life, right?
Also, I can’t see military orders waiting after anything.
But I think the $400 bullpups are scheduled
after the Special Olympics ;) Bwahahahahaha

The SE-980 (exactly like the one Pete H. has) is it military or not?
I’m not going to join the pissing match
between Peter and the rest of the world.
Yes, I’m aware of what he said about a year ago
(in a US forum I think) about his gun and I’ve seen the pix
he posted and I handled the gun many times.
But I do not want to have any opinion on that subject.
All I know is that whatever guns China produced
after 1994 intended for military use only (internal or export)
must have special markings as per Chinese law
(in addition to the serial number,
comissioning markings, arsenal markings, yadda, yadda).
I don’t remember to have seen any of those
military production markings
on his gun or in his pix, but I’m not saying he’s a liar.
But, IIRC, you fcuk-heads were also arguing about the videoclip :)
AFAIK, his SE-980 (or another like it but I doubt it)
was indeed in that videoclip
in the hands of that white-trash fcuked-up chick
who was pointing it at her image mirrored in the water
and after that she was acting like playing guitar on the gun
and having very low levels of #### in her blood.

And I think there was also another gun in the videoclip,
but I don't know if real or prop.
I don’t remember their name
(that lousy band didn’t go anywhere anyway),
but I think the videoclip was filmed in BC (Sunshine Coast).

I think 308 was the only caliber the SE-980
was ever chambered in before 223.
What other .300” calibers are you talking about? :onCrack:
Like what???

I feel like an idiot now. Everybody is talking about these guys but I have no clue.

Who has pictures of them?:

the SE-980 (in .223)
the chinese copy of the WTSP (22LR with banana clips)

Budy, you don't have to feel like one.
SE-980 are very-very few in Canada
leftovers after a short production run
for an asian country.
It took a great amount of persuation to convince
a new factory in China to resume production
for a couple more hundred pieces.

WTSP made by China has a different name anyway
and there is only a sample of 4 pieces outside China.

You didn't lose anything,
and you'll have the info at the right time.

Like 7.62 X 39. It is a 300 caliber, is it not?
Neah, I heard that before, I think it's a myth.
I don't believe they made one,
there is too much difference between 308 and 7.62x39.
They will MAYBE after this version in 223.

This is fun........ I'm looking forward to see what theese rifles look like... According to what Dr Lector said, I assume that a shipment arrived in Montreal late last week (If I read between the lines correctly). So a couple more days before a dealer posts them up for sale on their website.....

I't funny, I feel like a kid who doesn't want to miss the icecream truck :runaway::dancingbanana:
