All the ones that I have seen are around $210-300 and most of them are beat up with rust or cracked furniture. Is that the majority of the Ithacas I will find?
The one I have is a 1975 vintage. The gun is in 99% condition. The original stock has been shortened and recoil pad resized and installed. The second stock is older and refinished with a 14" LOP. There is a 26" deer slayer slug barrel with rifle sights and a VR 30 " modified barrel.
Was there a time in Canadian history, where you could walk into your local gunshop and see lots of Ithaca's alongside 870's, Winchester 1200's and Mossberg 500s?
If you are willing to count M87 Ithacas, D Henry Gunmaker in Alberta has a NIB 20 gauge M87 Ithaca Deerslayer for sale (smoothbore 25 inch?), currently going for 699.
Also Ellwood Epps definitely has more than one, 12 gauge M37/87s, for sale in the used shotgun section for less cost.
If one needs parts for your Ithaca, try Ron Sharp of Sharp Guns in Dunnville, Ontario Canada. Ron took over all the parts and gunsmith work from Ithaca and SKB, when they closed the Dunnville operation in Canada. His phone number is 905-774-6368.
Although certainly 870s are more popular, rightly so, just due to reputation, parts and availability, in some circles (predominatly left-handed shooters) Ithaca shotguns remain first choice.

Yes there was.My brother bought a new Ithaca Model 37 at Canadian Tire back in 1973.
Ithaca shotguns are now manufactured in Ohio. You can order a new one directly from them but you should have someone like Questar handle the importing for you.Check out the Ithaca Gun web site for more information on new shotguns.
