Anyone in the area of Montreal who has a G19 i could try ? I ll be at CRAFM this saturday . U can try my Tavor in exchange .

How big are your hands? The G19 is perfect for smaller hands and every trigger pull is the same.
The Sig is much heavier and the long first shot trigger pull is a disadvantage for me.
These are two different but very efficient guns.

Great info , thanks . How about the grip angle ?? Is that much different from a 1911 ? should i go with nightsights or not ??

I have heard much about the grip angle but I'm afraid it means nothing to me.
Every gun is different but I shoot as well with my G19 as I do with a 1911.
My big preference here is that the trigger pull is the same as opposed to that first-shot DA pull on many autos.
Nightsights? In my imagination I can't see ever using them in a situation that happens at night.
They are not ideal for general daytime shooting.

I have owned both, and currently have a G19 instead of a P226.

As for the night sights on both. I can't stand the factory sights on either. Both of them I had vertical grouping issues and replaced the dot the i type setup on the 226 with some 3 dot trijicions which were fantastic and my G19 came with night sights, but I have shot a G17 with factory sights and I was not to impressed.

I'd say get both eventually. The G19 is the ONLY glock that interests me, and probably the only one I will ever own unless I get one for free which is why I have one now and now a P226. The P226 was a great gun, fits my hand like a glove, accurate, easy to take down. That being said I might look at a P220 Combat or something in 45 from the SIG line up of things.

I have a 2nd Gen G19 that I put a hogue slip on grip onto which made the grip fill my hand up a bit, but I would take it off and go back to the plain slim grip.

Both are great, try them both if you can get what you want.

The 226's trigger is much better than my Glock but the 19 is growing on me. Gonna see how many rounds I can shoot until I get a malfunction without cleaning it.

Both are about the same price now. Questar has both the G19's and 226 around the 850 mark with you finding one of each alittle cheaper used in the EE.

The 226 has not arrived yet , but they do have G19 in stock . the sig is 899$ and the G19 is 799$ both with standard sights . Im trying to find someone who would be nice enough to let me try theirs in Montreal . But as of now still noone ..... even with my offer to let them try a Tavor in return .

Seems ur the only G19 owner in Montreal !! Or the only one generous enough to let me try it . Im trying real hard not to order one from Questar .

So i went to CRAFM today and got to handle a G19 . Grip angle feels different but i can live with it , but the trigger seems stiff .Then again i just finished shooting my Ranger II . Hope the offer is still good .... cant make a decision yet . The Tavor on another hand needs to go back to Canam , well the mepro ....

for the trigger, all you need to do is the .25 cent trigger job (polishing the right parts) and replace the connector with a 3.5 connector which takes 2 seconds to do...
