Can I get a 50 cal pistol in Toronto?

If you want a typical hunting rifle/shotgun, you will need a non-restricted license. You will need a hunting license to hunt.

If you want a handgun for target practice (handguns can only be shot at a range) you will need a restricted license and a membership to a range.

If you read this it will tell you the steps on how to get a handgun from scratch:

It seems to me from your previous posts you want to go big on everything.

Big is ok, but before you go big, I reccomend you try shooting it first. If you go big, it gets REALLY EXPENSIVE. Like $3-5+ per shot. You can't shoot big too much either, because it's just too much force for the body to take, especially depending on your size. I've heard of guys who get their rentas detached because of shooting too big of calibers too much at once. Keep that in mind.

300 Win Mag is just about the limit of being able to shoot comfortably for long periods of time. Muzzle breaks help a lot.

If you want a 50 caliber handgun go for it. But don't expect your wrist (or your wallet) to be thanking you after a couple of mags.

I think this one is .50 calibre.

Smith and Wesson .500 Magnum
Desert Eagle .50AE
1911 .50GI (not sure what company produced it)

There's others too, I believe some maniac even actually made one for the .50BMG. If you just need to put a half inch hole in something, it can be done, but it'll hurt on both ends.

If you just gotta go big, Shooter's Choice in Waterloo carries two models of .69 calibre pistols priced at a very reasonable $650-$670. Just remember to use ffffg powder in the frizzen pan.

Maybe try to get an appt with Mayor Miller and ask him what he thinks of your idea. I am sure he will appreciate your knowledge and ambition. Oh and be sure to ask him about his thoughts on your precision rifle questions too..:runaway::runaway:
Seriously though, do some research on your own, and maybe fire a handgun or 2 before going for the biggest cannon you can find. You may find out you're not the man you thought you were as many an experienced shooter has found the big fella okay for a few shots but not a lot. Nothing like spending over $1K for something you shoot 50x.
This is one thing you cant ask your mom about.
Good luck

Corner of Jane and Finch, 3am on a Thursday; ask for "Keyshawn". He'll hook you up.

+1

I hear Keyshawn's got a mad selection "fiddy kalibuh" gold-plated gats. Special discount on "used" guns (i.e. involved in more than three gangland killings).
