Need advice , cant decide! , either a 12G remington 18inch barrel with tube extension , or go with maybe the smaller Norinco 14inch?....
knoxx SpecOps stock is going to be here soon!
Any feedback would be nice! wondering which one would be better for range use....

Cheers

If you want a fast handling shotgun for heavy bush, hopping into a helicopter, carrying on quad or for serious indoor social encounters, shorter is better.

If your not jumping in and out of helicopters like most of us...don't get me wrong Geologist, I wish I could!! There is nothing wrong with the 870 18"! Nice for "long range" plinking!

I can see why it's a hard call, both [above] are great looking shotguns. I think I'd go with Norinco .
I shoot a Mossberg with a 18.5" barrel and love it, but woudn't mind a smaller profile shotgun if had the money to spend

If you want a short shotgun take a look at the 12.5" Grizzly from Canada Ammo, its cheaper than the 14" Norinco, and I heard the quality is better too.

Ya, it would be nice to have one of the new Grizzly's with the changeable chokes and ring sight aiming systems. The choke would be nice for keeping shot grouping down at a bit of a distance. Plus you can't beat the price/value.

However, I dont know that I like the look of a specops stock on that gun.

My vote is Grizzly. As for chokes, my smith said the barrel was too thin to thread for chokes, but I understand CanAm is bringing in choked barrels.

I have had a 18.5" barrel on my Rem 870 for years but just last year I bought and installed a Dlask 14" barrel and find it to be so much handier to use...

So I would recommend the 14" barrel...

Patterned it with what?

I actually only shoot slugs out of it, I am one of those guys that thinks 00 Buck is useless and stick to slugs... :)

I have found this shotgun to be extremely fast handling not quite as fast as the Dlask 8.5" shotguns but close.

Just after I switched the barrels to the 14" I started thinking that if I had of bought the 14" barrel first I may not have bought my Marlin 1895GS 45-70.

Here is a picture of it with my Marlin and 4.25" SRH I have a 1X-4X Leupold Vari X 11 scope on it.
