Hey guys,
After a day of shooting . I was cleaning my gun and accidentally used my friends .45 bronze bore brush through my barrel instead of a .40 Caliber nylon brush. I am pretty noob to firearms and was wondering if this could wreck the rifling in the barrel . I ran the .45 bronze bursh 4 times in and out of the barrel. Should i be concerned ?I know the glock is a pretty tough gun , but any help from Firearm gurus would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you have to pull really hard, use a hammer to bang it in? :) If not then no big deal.

frankly I only run a bronze bore brush thru mine after the end of the season, so will have approx 5000 rnds thru it, otherise I just run a patch thru it, sometimes... usually just wipe down the exterior and call it a day.

Thanks for the advice guys :)Nice to know i didn't ruin my gun on my first shoot. I will be def. more cognizant on what i clean my gun with. ;)

Bad idea. Accumulation of carbon, lead, and/or copper deposits can lead to increased pressure and ultimately a kaboom.

I don't use brushes anymore, I bought that Wipe Out foaming bore cleaner, it's pretty cool stuff.

GUN 1:1 on the 8th day.... God got tired of hearing mere mortals complaing about how much work it was to clean a gun. So he invented lazy man gun cleaner.... and a great cheer arose from all of gun nut mankind.

Your gun is fine, bronze is so much softer than steel I don't see how you could do any serious damage without passing the brush a gazillion times, which will wear out the brush WELL before your bore can know the difference anyway. Now some of the crap stuck ON the brush <may> scratch your bore in some circumstances, but again, this is not an uber-accurate one of a kind custom precision rifle so even with some minor scratches you won't be able to tell the difference.
