it needs to be in the 700-800$ or less range, 9mm and semi-auto.
i was going for a glock-17 but the salesman told me to go whit a all metal gun
like a cz75 or 85b.......

i dont whant to start a debate (plastic vs steel) but i need good advise from
actual owners (not from people that saw a guy or read something on that gun)

i will probably end up in ipsc so please i need good advise!

thanks

Who was the turd salesman that told you to stay away from the Glocks? If they fit your hand well, they're fantastic handguns, and the 9mm versions are pretty accurate. For IPSC, you may want to consider the Glock 34 - longer slide/barrel, and lighter trigger.

+1 to that. My first 9mm was a glock 17, and my second was a 226. I love my sig, but after learning on a 1911 SA, and moving to a DAO, I found it a little difficult to get used to that DA trigger on the first shot. Go for the glock.

I have a Glock 17, and a CZ Shadow, I shoot in production class. Both guns are great. You will be happy with both. Cheers

So, what do you like? What do you want? It's your money and it's going to be your handgun......I can see a sales person putting some recommendations forward if you're unsure about what you want but if you're certain about what you want then I'd be questioning his motives......(Does he have a G17 in stock? Is there a sales incentive in place for him to push one brand over another? Is he the owner and is trying to sell you something with a higher profit margin?)

yeah , i know the game, i am a sellsman myself but i am an onest one!;)
i fear that he has issues againts plastic pistols (the way he was speaking about thems!)

wanna taco, was that tx and shipping included??? if so, please tell me where.

and ho yeah, they have glock17 and sw m&p's in stock.

Buy a Glock 17, very good handgun + spare mags are dirt cheap (20$ for original Glock magazines) drop a 3.5lbs connector in and you are good to go! (the gun is good right out of the box, but i prefer the feel of a lighter trigger pull)

Don't listen to the salesperson.

Quick story . . . I was looking for my first handgun in the spring. I went to the local chain store to ask about what they carried. The salesperson asked what I was looking at. I said I was looking at a .40caliber Glock or a 9mm Berretta or maybe a 1911 in .45. He recommended that I get none of those and look at a .22 instead citing cheapness of ammo, ease of use etc. I said I appreciated his arguments but wanted what I wanted. So I asked if he carried anything like that. He said no. I asked what all the guns were behind him. He said they were all .22s.

Got a Glock from Wolverine and couldn't be happier.

Get what fits your budget and your hand and get on the range.

GLocks don't fit my hand very well, I like them but they don't fit. I really like the M & P 9mm. Right now they come with 3 mags, a holster, double mag pouch, and a case for $750.00. Thats P & D's price anyway!!

I have a Glock 17 and a CZ SP-01 Shadow. I absolutely love them both and would never get rid of either of them. If your budget is limited, buy the Glock...

H&K USP all the way. find one used and you'll love it. it's solid and accurate, especially in the USP expert. but might stretch the budget a bit more. You'll be happy and you won't be like all the (put helmet on) glock freaks out there.
